In March, she got some interest after her name was suggested as a possible contender to succeed Hope Hicks in the role as communications director. The fighting has been nasty. Schlapp allied with Tony Sayegh. He was a candidate. They started fighting in media. When The Washington Examiner published a negative report on Sayegh Schlapp claimed she phoned the candidate to be relationship with her.
